Blue Sky Network (BSN) is proud to sponsor Steve Fossett's latest record-breaking flight attempt. Fossett took off on March 14th at 6:38 a.m. CST from Salina, Kansas. He is attempting to set the Absolute Closed Circuit Distance Record and will land on Friday back in Salina. The route he is taking will be just more than 40,615 km. This site will provide a near-real time view of Steve's progress.

Just last month Blue Sky Network sponsored another record-breaking flight for Steve. On February 11th he landed in England after spending 76 hours in flight. BSN supported Steve during the entire journey by supplying him with tracking, voice, and telemetry equipment. Thousands of position and telemetry reports (engine data, etc.) and numerous email messages containing updates were passed between the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer and ground control through the use of BSN's communication equipment and SkyRouter mapping solution. This equipment also faciliated phone interviews between Steve and CBS News, Fox News Channel and CNN during his flight.
