Awarded GSA Contract to Provide Satellite Tracking and Two-Way Communications Solutions for Aviation

La Jolla, CA. – October 24, 2005 – Blue Sky Network, the global logistics solution for two-way linking and managing remote transportation assets via satellite, today announced it has been awarded a five-year U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Contract where government agencies can easily acquire and deploy the company’s mobile satellite communications solutions primarily for aviation assets.

Blue Sky Network’s FAA certified products enable customers to track their aviation assets via satellite anywhere in the world. Its solutions are a perfect fit for government agencies in remote operating locations as well as recovery efforts during natural disasters where satellite communication equipment can be extremely important.

Blue Sky Network met the GSA’s rigorous requirements to obtain its contract (GS-35F-0918R) on the GSA IT Schedule 70. GSA establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to over 10 million commercial supplies and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors. The GSA Schedule is a direct and effective procurement vehicle that satisfies the government’s extensive requirements with simple administrative processes that significantly reduce the time and expense of acquisition for both the contractor and the federal customer.

“We are thrilled to be working with GSA to grow our customer base,” said Jon Gilbert, president, CEO and founder of Blue Sky Network. “Our GSA Schedule Contract gives our government customers the ability to purchase our global satellite communications solutions quickly and conveniently.”
