Cougar Helicopters, Inc. of Canada Selects Blue Sky Network

LA JOLLA, CA – March 2, 2005 – Blue Sky Network today announced that Cougar Helicopters, Inc. has joined the growing number of helicopter organizations utilizing the Blue Sky Network SkyRouter Tracking System to manage their helicopter and workboat fleets.

Cougar Helicopters and related workboats in the Canadian North Atlantic will be equipped with Blue Sky Network D1000 series Flight Tracking and Messaging Units along with the C1000A Satellite Phone providing global trip tracking, voice communications and messaging services to the entire fleet through the Iridium satellite network. The workboats will be the first customer to receive the new D1000C, Blue Sky Network’s latest entry in the tracking solution arena.

The Blue Sky Network equipment installed in the helicopters and workboats will hold up to the harshest weather conditions that exist in the North Atlantic. The Iridium constellation of 66 low-earth-orbit satellites ensures seamless uninterrupted coverage throughout the service area.

“We are proud to welcome Cougar Helicopters to our family of customers,” said Jon S. Gilbert, president of Blue Sky Network. “As Canada’s premiere offshore oil and gas helicopter service provider, Cougar has shown their technology leadership with the integration of Blue Sky Network equipment and SkyRouter services for both airborne and marine assets. We will continue to support Cougar’s goal of leveraging satellite communication opportunities into their total business environment, insuring their leadership role.”

“The Blue Sky Network system has been a huge benefit for situational awareness and communications,” said Rick Burt, general manager for Cougar Helicopter’s Inc. “The flight crews, in conversations with maintenance and logistics, have sung the praises of the system. Our goal is to conduct all future flight tracking and following from St. John’s for all our east coast operations.”

“Blue Sky Network is a valued Iridium service partner and has pioneered the development of innovative solutions for asset tracking and fleet management. Blue Sky’s integrated use of voice and data communications is playing a key role in opening new markets for Iridium services,” said Don Thoma, executive vice president of Iridium Satellite.
