Iridium recommends Blue Sky Network’s SkyLink for uncrewed aircraft solutions
On December 7, 2022, Iridium conducted a flight trial using American Aerospace’s Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS), AirRanger. Integrated into this 220-pound fixed-wing UAS was Blue Sky Network’s award-winning SkyLink solution enabling tracking and Command & Control (C2) capabilities.
Based on trial results, Blue Sky Network’s SkyLink device is listed on Iridium’s Minimum Equipment List (MEL) as an industry-recommended product to help enhance communication and safe aircraft spacing. The dual-mode solution can also be used to extend the operations of devices on the ground or in the water for comprehensive use across governments and enterprises.
Results from this critical trial highlight and resolve challenges related to Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations in the National Airspace System (NAS). Fill out the form below to download a copy of the whitepaper.
