The San Diego Office is located in the heart of Mission Valley, next to the Mission Valley shopping mall, Trolley, and plenty of lunch sources. Free parking is available on-site.

The Scottsdale office is located in the Scottsdale Airpark in North Scottsdale, AZ. The Scottsdale Airpark is one of the largest employment centers in the state of Arizona. Anchored by the Scottsdale Airport, the Scottsdale Airpark encompasses an 8.6 square mile area with over 2,900 businesses employing more than 51,000 people.

Position Summary:

This is a paid internship position (entry level), ideally suited for a part-time student who wants to learn sales and marketing through hands-on experience at a growing technology company. As a Sales Development Representative, you will work hand-in-hand with our account executives to help them generate new business through the appointments you will make on their behalf. You will learn how to prospect, how to use a CRM system (Salesforce.com), how to create your own book of business, how to handle objections, and how to do demand generation through sales and marketing. You will work autonomously upon receiving our training in professional skills which will support you in your entire career. You will work from our San Diego office in Mission Valley. Actual hours can be flexible to accommodate your schedule as a student (within business hours ranges). If you want to put your sales and marketing career on a launch pad, this role could be a perfect fit for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and manage accounts & contacts in Salesforce.com and/or external sources.
  • Identify, qualify, sort, and track leads
  • Conduct campaigns in your assigned territory
  • Prospect and make new contacts, through email and phone (minimum of 50 outbound prospecting calls per day)
  • Book technical demos for your account executives
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to ensure activities are documented properly and adequate information regarding the prospect and/or opportunity is updated
  • Maintain knowledge of market conditions and competitive activities
Qualifications:
  • Ideally pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communication/business/general studies
  • Must be energetic, organized and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills
  • Must LOVE to talk to prospects over the phone
  • Strong computer knowledge required (Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task with several tools, work independently, and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements and Logistics:
  • $15/hour.
  • Minimum workload required: 15 hours/week (within business hours). Flexible schedule.
  • Minimum duration required: 4 months
  • Must work from the BSN office (mandatory)
