The San Diego Office is located in the heart of Mission Valley, next to the Mission Valley shopping mall, Trolley, and plenty of lunch sources. Free parking is available on-site.

The Scottsdale office is located in the Scottsdale Airpark in North Scottsdale, AZ. The Scottsdale Airpark is one of the largest employment centers in the state of Arizona. Position Summary:

Blue Sky Network is adding a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to its Engineering team. The SDET will work hand-in-hand with our world class engineering team to bring innovative satellite communications technology to market. We design and build hardware and software products that enable remote asset tracking and management. Our new generation of products provides enhanced connectivity solutions for IoT, business continuity, drones, austere environments, and other exciting market segments. Blue Sky Network has some of the most fascinating customers and customer applications one will ever encounter. Blue Sky Network has offices in San Diego, Scottsdale, and São Paulo, but the person can work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, write and test embedded software test automation tools, for use in testing our solutions
  • Participate in firmware engineering team as a key team member
  • Responsible for implementing continuous integration system
  • Responsible for scripting and automation tasks to support optimizing manual testing processes and manual production processes
  • Key member of quality assurance and testing team
  • Validate new firmware images and features on hardware and firmware solutions produced by Blue Sky Network
Qualifications:
  • Professional experience with testing in an embedded environment
  • Experience with continuous integration
  • Experience working in Agile teams is a plus
  • Experience with test automation is a plus
  • Ability to work closely with engineering team to report bugs and validate resolutions
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Ability to read hardware schematics and use lab test tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) desired
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic full stack developer who specializes in JavaScript front end technologies (Ember, React, Angular, Vue), has experience in C#, Node JS, or similar back end technologies, and is familiar with SQL database technologies.

Job Summary / Responsibilities:

This person will join our rapidly growing engineering team as a core team member and contributor on many projects. They will also have a key role in any future software projects and help to influence the direction of the company through the software they develop and the ideas they bring to the table.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with architect and senior engineers to design and implement features in SkyRouter
  • Work with the team to implement and design new applications
  • Develop existing and new mobile applications based on React Native framework
  • Provide expertise in migration of systems to cloud based infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or EE, or 5 years relevant experience in development role
  • 3 – 5 years experience in HTML technologies (HTML, CSS)
  • 3 – 5 years experience in a ES6+ SPA JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Ember, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience in building REST API’s with ASP.NET (C#), Nodes.JS, or similar
  • Knowledge of some form of SQL
  • Experience with GIT
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience consuming and creating web services (SOAP/XML, REST/JSON)

About The Role:

We are currently seeking an Operations Associate to join our team in our Scottsdale location.

The Operations Associate is responsible for performing essential day-to-day tasks in the Administration, Finance, and Operations department. This includes light product assembly, packaging, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments per quality procedures
  • Prepare, box, and label customer shipments
  • Process domestic and international shipping labels using DHL, FedEx, and UPS
  • Create packing lists for outgoing sales
  • Perform light assembly-type functions using hand tools
  • Complete non-technical final testing of electronic assemblies
  • Perform routine inventory counts
  • Maintain open communication with team members to support production flow
  • Update return merchandise authorization (RMA) tickets in Zendesk
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Relevant work experience in an operations role
  • Experienced in customer service and customer satisfaction
Required Abilities and Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Electronics lab technician with good communication and writing skills
  • Able to read schematics with circuit board troubleshooting and soldering experience
  • Generate and execute production test procedures, board firmware programming, etc.
  • Build test jigs as needed to execute or assist with RMAs and customer support issues
  • Prototype rework, build cable harnesses, product assembly and test as needed
  • Ability to work closely with engineering team to report bugs and validate resolutions
